I've been here a couple of times and most of the reviews are pretty accurate. They have a decent selection of fish and depending on when they get their shipments, corals. The prices are insane for dry goods. It's easily 33% or more than online for many items. The prices for livestock are on the high side but at least you see what you're getting.
My other big peeve about them is if you call to find out what they charge for an item so you can decide whether you want to be ripped off for the convenience, they won't tell you and make you visit to find out. If they charged a bit more than online, they'd get a lot more business. I've figured out, assume it's highway robbery on dry goods and decide whether you really need it immediately.
It bums me out since a store in the city with more reasonable prices would sell a lot more and generate more foot traffice to sell their livestock. I drive out to Fish Town in Queens now. |
