This is how ORA refers to them... Semi-Picasso True Percula The Semi-Picasso True Perc is another exclusive from ORA. These unique fish are offspring of our Picasso Percula pairs. They are called Semi-Picasso because they have interesting bars or "blobs" of white that are unusual for a True Percula. We originally considered calling them Peculiar Perculas but nobody could pronounce that correctly. Only a small percentage of fish from each spawn become a Semi or Picasso Percula, which is why they are so rare. |

It sounds silly to me....... sorry aquariumspecialty..... but, these "clowns" have only partial markings(misbarred if you will), just b/c they are less common than "picasso" clowns, the prices sky rockets..... IMO, the new fish/coral/invert(atleast the ones that are tank bred) in this hobby/industry are very similiar to electronics.....the first generation is very costly, but after alittle time, the price drops drastically(as they breed more picasso clowns, they will produce more semi-picasso clowns) Just my thoughts, agree or disagree, its just my opinion.....
