Reefer Ratings: (26) Friends: (0) | MR Book Swap and Review
Jhale had a great idea about doing a book club in Kedd's thread and I though that this might be an interesting way to share knowledge with the MR community. If anyone has books that they would be willing to swap with other members (either permanently or temporarily) or wants to tell everyone what... Last edited by jhale; 03-03-2007 at 09:38 AM. |

The definitive read if you have a Tridacnid clam or plan on keeping one. Since it was published in 2006, it includes up-to-date scientific research, hobbyist opinions from various online forums/bulletin boards and years of cumulative experience of the author, James Fatherree. This hardcover book is chock full of photos, macro-shots, and maps. The author's style of writing really made me feel like he was chatting to us in the Reef Graffiti. It's laid back without too much scientific mumbo jumbo. (no offense Solbby ) He frequently references online articles so that readers can do their own research as he did. He even admits when he doesn't know why things work the way they do.The only thing this book is missing, is a coupon for a free clam when you finish reading it. |
