I ordered a lobo on line that arrived damaged. I'm getting a credit for it- no problem but.... Wanted to try and save it anyway. The polyp was broken through by the septa’s all along one side. Today I see alot of tissue dissolving along a portion of the damaged area. How long would You peoples leave this in your tank to give it a chance, and what would you be looking for before removing it? I don't want it to mess up my water params ,but don't want to ditch it if there is a chance it can survive! |

1 coral isn't going to mess up your water quality. Corals also die somewhat slowly, so it's not like it's going to pollute your water all at once. There is no good cutoff time to stop. I've seen LPS with no tissue left regrow. At the same time, I've also seen people say that if it's dying, let it die. |
