Mortality rates of captive corals

I'm just courious about coral mortality in the hobby....how many corals have you had parish while in your care?
Types, reasons why, ratios-how many die for every how many youve aquired, etc.?

Every single one except the ones in my tank

Reasons:
1. throw into circular file
2. negligence - busy with work
3. laziness

No one actually answers you

The so called easier to care for ones die more often than the hard to keep ones in my care. I think it's because I choose to run my tank not "too clean." My frogspawn and xenia die while my flower pot and sun coral do great. I would say about 1 out of 8 corals.

I've read and believe that captive corals have a better chance than wild corals. reason is that captive corals are already used to the conditions in our tanks(flow, light, water quality).
