more fish to help SPS?

I keep hearing about how fish poo is the best thing for SPS. Should I go heavy on the fish population and start skimmer wetter to help out my SPS?

fish poo is good for sps. it's very important you have a good skimmer to keep up w/ the biolad. also all the food fed can bring you phosphates up. some phosban is good for that.

that's all i know which isn't much but i'm sure you'll get tons of help on this one

I think a reef needs fish for it to feel right, but, wouldn't some phyto and DT oyster eggs work just as well as fish poo? It's essentially the same thing, just not processed into poo yet...............

You need to be careful doing this. In a really starved reef, coral colors will darken and become more rich. Phosphates + nitrates will go thorugh the roof unless you have a Bada$$ skimmer, run a phosban reactor, and do regular water changes. When you have a high bio-load your water quality can foul VERY fast. IMO you should keep a moderate bio-load so you can get the added benefits of "fish poop" for the deeper colors, but also keep the reef nice and clean for a great survival rate.

Since I got a bigger skimmer (granted it's not a beckett ) I keep wanting to add some more fish to my system... I just can't make up my mind as to wich ones. Right now I only have three small fish in my 65.
