I recently got a yellow-pink Alveopora catalani from NW. It was fairly cheap and not in the best condition when I got it (I actually wasn't sure what species at first because the polyps looked like a mat.) I've read that they like lower intensity light and low-moderate flow, so I've positioned it accordingly in my tank. It's been three days, and starting yesterday I began to get good polyp extension. Have yet to see it "eat", though I did notice when I put baby brine shrimp in the tank, the polyps seemed to extend a little more than they had been. I am thinking about dosing iron manganese occasionally as well, but I haven't begun yet. For those people who also have Alveopora in their tank and have had it thrive - what have you done? Or for that matter, if you've had it die, what did you do? (Photo is of coral on the second day it was in my tank - pre-feeding) Last edited by ellebelle; 02-17-2007 at 10:02 PM. |

As Dean mentioned in your other thread....I've never seen them react to any type of feeding either. I let them be as well.
