QT of corals?

I know that its common practice to place a new fish in a QT for a period of time to make sure there is no disease and such. But what about corals and inverts? Not that I think one would bring a disease into the tank, but more along the lines of the water from the original tank having something bad and a small amount being transferred to a new tank. For instance, if you get a coral from a tank that has ich and some of the water has the free swimming parasites in it, is it possible that a small amount of water can infect your show tank? Just wondering.

we're supposed to QT corals and inverts too.
live rock, live sand, macro algae etc......... everything!

corals can have plenty of parasites and other unsavories.
ofcourse if you don't know what to look for then QTings effectiveness sort of goes down the tubes, no? you can use traps with bait overnight, hmmm.... i'd do more research =)
but in answer to your question: absolutely.

*disclaimer* my qt tank hasn't had water in it for months! =)
