Question Acan Questions......

I see Acan's for sale with big prices for 2 or 3 heads are Acans rare why the big money for a small frag, also do they grow fast or slow I see the frags with some hot colors but it looks like a small frag with cut head will this grow fast and look better in a short because I dont like how they looked fraged but would deal with it if it will look normal in a short time.

also are they agressive and how much light do they need?

thanks

In a way I feel perhaps responsible for this recent fascination and concomitant exorbitant price of Acanthastrea in comparison with other corals. In this thread, I mentioned it was one of my favorite corals.
Everyone pays high prices for Acans because they are one of Eric's favorites

Isn't it illegal to pull corals out of Australian waters? Maybe that has something to do with the price.

Australia was opened up a little while ago. If it were not open then large retailers would not be selling the corals from that region and advertising the heck out of them like they are.
