Hood Addition

Special thanks to Kimoyo (Paul)
For helping me build an addition to my canopy. He just was a positive motivator that can possibly do anything that he wishes to complete..also i would like to thank Brett (Bad Coffee) for tell me to get off my lazy arssss and get to it even when i thought it could not be possible. anyway, i really like it more then any hood that i could of imagined only because it's not just a square box. i like the way it has two levels. it looks different which is what i like. we cut the cover of my exsisting hood in half, forming the front of the addition with one half and cutting the other half to make the sides. Then i bought some cabinet grade plywood and placed it as the top of the addition. then took the hand of the old flat hood and placed it at the front of the addition.. Then attached two brass small hinges one at each corner and wala. heres the hood.

very nice...

but i would think you'd want a little more ventilation in that hood.

very true. if you look at the picture with the hood open, look where the chord for the lumenarcs hang out back. that would be the bottom half of the hood where i will be installing 4 4" fans today. two will be blowing in across the top off the tank and two will be blowing out towards the back of the hood. before my exsist hood would blow out the side which was very unpeasent when you walked by the tank and that hot air hit you in the face, thanks for the comment. It's input like yours that help us newbie builders better our product. Also i will be add 4 39watt T5's actinic today. right now i'm only using 3 x 250 de 10k xm's
David
