How big is your tank?? How does this work for you? I'm dosing for about 1 month now with esv Powder Kalk...It doesn't seem to be doing the job both calcium and alk have dropped...I followed the instuctions and now I've doubled the instructions at 2 teaspoons to 4 teaspoons, just yesterday... So thought about building a Kalk reactor as long as someone has done this with success...Meaning they don't dose A&B or have a calcium reactor...Is this you also?? |

You need to read up more on the links Deanos had posted regarding what Kalk can do for you. Otherwise you are wasting time..

You cant just double the teaspoons. THere is a saturation point where adding more kalk doesn't do anything. You can dissolve more kalk by using vinegar. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-01/rhf/index.php If your using it as a top-off then you can try and increase evaporation with a fan. Keep an eye on your pH. GL. |
