hey all.. ive got my tank up and running finally, but the AGA overflow kit that comes with the tank is DAMN NOISY!

At first it was not getting enough air into the float valve, so it was making this creepy darth vader type breathing/sucking air sound. I made the hole bigger which helped but it was still a loud waterfall.

So im thinking I should get a durso standpipe to get rid of the waterfall sound and all the air thats getting dumped into my sump.

Anyone have any advice or comments before I go down this road?

Here is a link to building a Duro in case you haven't seen it. IMO Durso's work better than AGA kit

can anyone reccomend a store in downtown manhattan to get the PVC parts from? I assume most hardware stores would have the needed items?
