I was thinking about making a new skimmer for my main tank but in all my previous DIY projects i have only met with limited success because i had failed to take into account back pressure on the venturi and a host of other small problems.
I was wondering if anyone out there had a smallish beckett type skimmer that i could have a look at to base my designs on? my tank is only 70 Gals or so so i am not looking to make an 8 foot tall 10,000 gal/hour beast, just a little skimmer that can be run with a reasonably small pump using the beckett foam head.
Any help and advice would be appreciated
Aaron

I have always found This skimmer project quite interesting. I would love to do it one day just to try and say I did. This thread is a long one, so, spend some time looking at it.

Gook luck.
