Frags MR Coral Freedom: Lime Green Center Zoanthids

MY CORALS ARE DECLARING INDEPENDENCE!

Rules:
The zoanthids in this thread are now FREE FOR THE MR COMMUNITY.
If you want them you reply here saying that you will take them.
I will pick who the first 2 frags go to.
After you receive them, you are to frag them as MUCH AS POSSIBLE (they grow like weeds so it shouldn't be too hard).

YOU CANNOT SELL THESE CORALS AT ANY TIME.
YOU CANNOT TRADE THESE CORALS AT ANY TIME.

YOU MUST GIVE THESE CORALS AWAY so that everyone in the community who wants them can have them. There are other colonies of this, but if you acquire them from this thread or from someone else who got them from this thread, you CANNOT SELL OR TRADE them at any time. They are free!

If you have frags of them, you should post on this thread so others can take advantage of this system. If you give them to someone else that is fine but do your best to document it here.

This runs on the honor system! Don't ruin it by trying to make a buck! It is for our/their enjoyment and propagation, you must take this into account when deciding who to give them to.

You must inform anyone who takes them of the rules and bind them to the honor system as stated here.

That's it!

I have 2 of them ready to go to a new home! Mounted on discs.

your post is really cute (in a non-patronizing way).

I've taken 1 DBTC so far and it's doing great (thanks lissa), I'd like these zoas and will more than be able to abide by your rules. Heck, I can even give frags to folks in a few states and show them the site

I like the lime green centers and their freedom speech mainly

Hey Josh,

I'm interested in your frags and even more interested in seeing how you frag your zoas. I have a large zoa with over 30 heads and would like to donate to DBTC but I'm making sure I know what I'm doing before I start. If you still have one available I'd love to propagate and pass it on. And maybe see how you split the colony.
Thanks,
Jay

Jay,

If you want to come over to pick up the emancipated zoanthids, I'd be glad to help you frag up your zoas. If you bring the colony with you we can do the whole thing. Just send me a photo of what they look like now so I can make sure I have the right tools. I'll give you all the frags we make of course. I have some new scalpels I'd like to try out for this, and I have plenty of plugs to mount them on.

It's not the best picture. I bought this from Joe (reefmania) at the swap. But it's huge. The rock alone must be about 10 lbs.

Those are harder to frag than most. You should put a few small rocks in between the polyps and let them climb up onto them. After that you just pull out the rocks with the zoas on them and glue them to plugs.
