Anyone with AI sols with electric know how?

What is the black knuckle on the AI power supply? I have a AI sol blue with a cut power supply that leads to the light. I got a new adapter for it but nervous the knuckle is important. LMK

Try calling or emailing AI
I have called them in the past, pretty good to deal with. I had dropped two lights in the tank: yea they were on too! Expensive F up to say the least
