Diodon Holacanthus-Porcupine puffer

Not reef safe as they will eat inverts and may bite into corals. Good fish for a FO or Fowlr tanks. When mixing with other fish you need to make sure that they're not to aggressive as some fish, like triggers, can bit the spines and kill the puffer. Also you may find it interesting to see the puffer blow up but it's not a good thing for the puffer and could even cause him to die. You need to feed it a good diet of shell fish and fish to keep it fat.

Because of their beaks they shouldn't be kept in acrylic tanks, as they can take bits out of the acrylic and leave scratches.
