Hey i was there to, i was tempted to pick up one of those clown tangs also due to their size but chickened out. I did pick up a mandarin and another wrasse

Best of luck with it!

he he, i always wanted one and saw how beautiful pierce's is (put up pics cali will ya?) so i figured getting one that small may be a safer choice.
if it ever gets too big/aggressive in a few yrs, i can always pass it on to someone with a more agressive tank - at least i should get to [hopefuly] enjoy it for some time till then.

Here is a pic of my Red Sea Sailfin:

He is the only tang in my tank right now but I will most likely be looking to get another (not sure what yet) soon.

The Kole tang. A favorite of mine. A chevron tang would have a similar description and is also a great fish for the reef tank.
Quote:
Has a temperature range of 70 - 81°F (21 - 27°C) and its natural diet consists mainly of detritus. Requires a varied diet, including fresh macroalgae, Spirulina, dried seaweed (nori), and enriched vegetable flakes and some meaty foods and two or three feedings per day. Will browse on filamentous algae. A good algae scraper.
