carpenters have this coloration. i wish he had his fins up for the pic

it's not just coral factory, almost all pet shops either screw up the names or use generic names.

besides the name doesn't matter as long as you are happy w/ it.

I agree the name doesn't matter much. I don't think it's a filamentos eithe. He is not orange, and he doesn't have a white underbelly.

I know, but below is what drs. fosters & Smith say. It doesn't match my fish.

The Filamented Flasher Wrasse, also known as the Whip-fin Fairy Wrasse, originates from the waters of the Indo-Pacific. The Filamented Flasher Wrasse is primarily red in color with a white underside. The fins are yellow with blue markings, and the dorsal fin is elongated. The color of the female is subdued when comparing it to the brilliance of the male. The male during courting will change colors very rapidly giving it its common name. Colors may vary depending on the fish's mood.

this is the part you have to take into consideration.

i'm almost positive but there's a small popssibility that i could be wrong.
