I have a 3 inch maroon clown in my tank for a couple years. I often see mating pairs with this fish. I assume mine is female because of its size. I would like to get a smaller one (a male, I heard they change sexes). I know these fish are territorial. How could I introduce this fish and Is it just a chance whether they will take or not? |

Get a smaller male, and introduce it. Your current clown will beat it up until the new guy realizes she's in charge. Then it's just time before they pair up. Or your current one will kill the new guy. You just take the chance. Adding a smaller one would lessen the chances of her killing him though. B
