we did some collecting this weekend and caught more spotfins. they were larger than the ones we got a few weeks ago, and they were all covered with some kind of clear fluke worm. our guess was as the water gets colder they become more susceptible to parasites and begin to die off before freezing to death. none of the local fish we inspected had the same parasites on them.
