I can post some pics of my "table" for you, but it might take me a day to get to it. It is not really a table, but more of a table top that I can place onto a stand when I need to use it. I don't use it very often, so I didn't want another fixed piece cluttering my space.

Porter Cable is considered one of the "premiere" manufacturers of that type of equipment, the could be considered the "Deltec" of power tools. Another good manufaturer is Delta.

A plunge router is more versitile. If you wanted to route out euorobracing, or anything that required the router to start in the middle of the material, as opposed to the edges, you want to use a plunge router. It can be done with a fixed base router, but it is not reccomended, and I could easily see how you could hurt yourself.

Porter cable also makes a router that has interchangeable bases, so that you have the benefits of a plunge and a fixed base router. A good place to look is in the toolbin at Amazon.com, they have great prices and it is where I bought my router. I have a Hitachi, with a plunge base.

I am gonna pass on this one. I drew out my preliminary sump plans and I am going to need more than 4x4, and would be better served by buying a full sheet.

That's the router I was talking about, with the interchageable base. It should serve you well for a long time. Good, informed choice.

Although it might be nice to have, it is not critical.

I havn't used that attachment. One thing I can say is that routers throw up a lot of saw dust (or acrylic dust - i presume), and I am constantly fighting the saw dust proplem. If you are going to use the router alot, then the attachment might be worth it, so that you could hook up either a dust collector or shop vac to it.

Although it might be nice to have, it is not critical.
