I have different ORA percs, spotcinctus & occelaris and they all hosted anything I threw at them and it usually ranged from 1 day to 2 weeks. Just be patient, it will happen. My Rod's did the same thing.

good luck with them

The size of the your tank is not the real issue. It's the time when they first know each other(introduced into the tank).

1)If you dive and watch documentary, clown fish usually colonize a rock structure or an anemone group in say size of 3' x 3". You will see over 10 clowns easily living there. Go to Long Island Aquarium and check out the anemone nemo tank, you will see.

2)If you add them one by one and or 2 a time, they are going to have a problem with the presidency and territory issue. But if you add them all at once you should experience little issue. Of course, odds do happen once a while.

3)To fool them when I need to put some of my clowns together with other ones, I took them out to the QT for 3 days while rearranging the aquascape(easy for nano users), put all the new ones and the old ones back in the tank at the same time 3 days later. If the new ones are significantly smaller, put them in first for couple days before putting the old bigger ones back it.

If done right, it ok to have more clowns in a 20G. It's big enough for more than a pair.

My clowns live a city life rather than country one, so they live in close quarters and fed by my heavenly hands instead of living in vast space and hunt on their own.
