what's the quickest way to get chromis out of the tank?? they picking on my idol's fins. they gotta go in the sump.

Get a roughneck rubbermaid container. Quickly drain the tank low with a pump (corals can be out of water for a little while), catch the fish, and pump the water back in.

i dont have much corals in it. just 3 other fish with couple frags on the bottom. so i can drain the tank but i dont see how it would work if they go into the rock work.

Is it a reef, FO or FOWLR?

Based on your statement, I'm only guessing that it is a FOWLR, but has a few corals? How much LR? Do you have a place where you can put an acrylic or eggcrate divider into the tank (completely sectioning off a part of the tank from front to back)? This way, lowering the water, and, trapping the fish in the sectioned off part would at least allow you to restrict the chase to a small section. Then remove the rock from just that area if you have to.

BTW, you still didn't mention what size the tank is.

it's a 72bow with lots of rocks. i cant get around it. i guess i'm redoing the rockwork this weekend.

romain, once the light goes out, all three chromis goes to the back of the rocks and doesnt come out till light on. so i can't net them at night.
