It depends not only on the size of your tank but what type of corals that you have. SPS coral use more Cal & Alk so you'll need to use alot of B-Ionic to the point where it probably more cost effectient to get a Cal reactor. LPS and Soft corals use alot less and you can get by with just B-Ionic.

You can get the B-Ionic 2-gal concentrate for about $30 delivery.

Oh, another thing I thought about. ESV is here in Brooklyn. Why should we have to buy it from halfway across the country and pay for shipping? Maybe ESV will sell us 5 gallon buckets and we can divide it up?

Just a thought. . .

I sell the 2 gallon jugs for $30 here at Aquatic Creations

I use it on all my reef tanks (even alot of fish only systems I just dose 1x per week). Even if the system has a calcium reactor( I just use less of it).

It gets a little expensive with larger systems but is well woth it. I even use it on my 1000 gallon reef system at my shop.

I dump about 50-60ml per day, but I do have mostly softies, some LPS & SPS. My levels are where they should be.

I wonder if we can get it from ESV cheaper...has anyone bought from them? Right now I can get it for $25 for 1gal of each. They have to sell it cheaper, come on we are neighbors!

I am also considering the DIY method, although am a little worried about side effects?
