I just found out who is chewing on my blue tip stag. Last night when I was feeding my acans, I happen to watch over and saw my small emerald crab hanging in my blue tip stag. I was shock and curious, so I watch it for a few mintues. And there he goes, picking and cliping the polyps from the skin and chewing it:eek2: :eek2: .. I immediately took the whole piece out of the water and shake him off. I was wondering why my blue tip stag is missing polyps on some part of the body and time to time.. Now I know why.. This is strange since I had another bigger emerald crab that so far hasn't touch any sps. Not yet though. . The small one is ban to the sump along with a few other member .

The small emerald crab was added a month ago. It came from a different batch. So I guess I got a bad one. I was initially hoping that they will eat bubble aglae, but none had. Who ever said emerald crab eat bubble aglae anyway???

A few months ago I saw one eating polyps off of a milli colony. I'll never add them to a tank again.

I think if yours hasn't cause any problem, worry-free. If you start see spot on the sps missing polyps, than i guess your best bet is the emerald crab. As I mention, the bigger one I got from the group buy from reeftopia, is still doing great. This little sucker came from etropical group buy.. Everything that came from liveaquaria or etropica seems to be bad..
