Ha yes I have a golden one too it is great but they hide alot. One of my regulars lives in the sump and he got into the skimmer section tonight. I tried to get him out but he pinched me so now he stays.

I've had a CBS for over 2 years now and I can confirm they are predators. It is definitely the boss among the inverts. It chases smaller fish. I used to have a Tanaka's Pigmy wrasse that was caught and eaten by the CBS within a week after I bought it. He was forgiven and given the time already served. About two weeks ago I bough a sand sifting starfish and 2 days later I notice the CBS eating a piece of the starfish leg. The starfish has not been seen since. Due to the amnesty the coral banded shrimp still lives but his file is thicker and thicker.

Hmm, this could explain the disappearance of some smaller shrimps, crabs and a fish.

Today I saw my coral beauty angel try to get my CBS to act as a cleaner shrimp.

Do these shrimp ever act as a cleaner for large animals they can not catch?
