Clam

I am looking to buy a clam for my 57g.. Tank has been up and running for almost 6 months now. Was just curious which type of clam I should buy or if I should even get one, and also how to care for them. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Deresas are much easier than maximas. I have yet to see a maxima survive that's under 3 inches. I've tried 3 maximas all small from ORA and all have died. I tried an ORA deresa and I still have it a year later and it is beautiful!

What about a squamosa?

Check out my post. Had the squamosa clam for 2 years. Very hardy. I put it in when my tank was 6 months old as well and it has tripled to quadrupled in size. Let me know if you have any questions.

I got an ORA black maxima that was 2" almost a year ago and it's still alive. It probably bigger than 3" now. I am actually looking for 1-2 more.
