Hey anybody know anything on this item? It was in FAMA magazine. It also said it was "approved" by the Brooklyn Aquarium Society. Anybody have any experience with this thing? http://www.freedomaquarium.com/site/ | |||

They bought 2 for the store and made me hook one up....I resisted but whatever. It's crap. They basically put a collection cup on a small pump outlet....directly on the outlet....there is no mixing with any real amount of water. For the same cash you can get a much better skimmer that is an actual skimmer. I have played with this for prob over a month now and the best I can get is very wet barely tan "skimmate". Consider this an item review lol. It was placed on a 700gal unit that had never been skimmed before too.
