I have a Nuvo 20 gallon. Its a great tank. To make it functional I would recommend changing the media holders it comes with. That is one of the major drawbacks but an easy upgrade. I didnt really like their lights so you may want to upgrade that too. there are some better options for lighting.

Holy crap that is a beautiful tank.
Yea I figured like I would have to do something with filter and all that. Are you running a slimmer? What's your water change schedule and amount like?

Brs kit is really like a crazy good deal... Wouldn't mind there lights for a few minutes so tank is fully cycled and such.. Then prob grab a radios and a mp10

I am running the IM ghost skimmer. I don't like it much. Not many options for skimmer in this tank.it took almost a month for the bubbles to subside. It was really really bad with the micro bubbles. I'm unsure of the effectiveness and necessity of a skimmer on a tank of this size.I'm running 2x In tank media baskets. They are expensive but have been vital so far. I use chemipure, and purigen. And my levels and water clarity is great. I'm doing 2 - 5 gallon water changes depending on how the tank has been fed. Using red sea pro salt. Most weeks it's 2 gallons unless I've used some type of coral feed like reef frenzy or something like it. With that media and water changes my levels have been undetectable.

Don't waste your time on the IM lights. You will want to change them. They can keep Los and softies and. Zoos. They will look ok but colors won't pop. I'm really impressed with the AI prime LED. I am seeing how they do with acros right now. L.P.S love them

Thanks for the info ec... Yea I figured skimmer is pointless on a small tank like This.. I use to have a 120 last year until the center brace gave way and I just want something small... I was thinking 5 gallon water changes weekly.

And I'm only looking for soft corals honestly.

instead of the ghost skimmer, go buy a HOB skimmer. I got the 40 nuvo and i got the aquamaxx hob1 and it works beautifully

Yea for a 40 I totally would get a slimmer but meh for a 20 I dunno... I also am not sure if Ima go bare bottom... Brs includes the sand... I'd prob get a diamond goby then.

As far as lighting a lot of ppl are doing the kessil, I'm leaning towards a radion for my 20 when I get it.

sweet looking tank! and dam the lagoon is about 5 inches wider.... hmmmm ... where did you pick yours up? i would call up BRS and see if they can modify the deal to do lagoon tank.

i see it has "pre-molded micron socks" how are those? the 20 nuvo would remove the media backets and give me the micron socks
