Let's give this a bump. Remember $10-$20 helps too.

Christmas is tough, but I am in for a few $. Let me know how.

I would also be interested in how the money is to be spent, especially the cost of overhead as compared to training, and supplies.

I believe all we are collecting for is the purchase of Netting material. Easily verified as to quantity purchased and cost.

A few million We're not as old/built up & out as New York, but we're trying We're trying to figure out how we could jam a few more bridges into our area to kinda cartch up to you all With an $8 toll proposed for a stretch of the Golden Gate I'd say we're on the right path?

I worked with Steve for a better part of 8 years. He's been my mentor for longer then that

The project itself is a very expensive thing and funded. Small things are needed right now, like the netting. It's a cheap way for hobbyists to support change. Until now there really was no way for us to support net collecting efforts. Sure, you could go buy a fish called net caught, but was it? This is a chance for an enitre country to say boo to the juice and the juicers and do it right!

Me walking down the 101 is a VERY bad idea I think... I'm out here without a car! How do I get there via bart?

Also, I could possibly (not that it will be work) get Lissa to show up...

Gresham, Check your PM.

"Eco Ez net and gear fund"

Hi folks
Thanks for the continuing contributions!
If we reach the goal with Manhattan Reefers there won't be much more to do.
We are only coming to a few clubs now and not appealing to the public or the media..
We already have funds for the 3 year project....but, this hobby buy-in is important and useful. Why?
The hobbyists commit to an investment...get possessive ....and earn a right to demand results from their contribution. I want us in your debt. We are more beholden to you this way and able to use this to point out "who was there for us" in the beginning.
Non aquarium people with non aquarium funding is all the history of aquarium reform has ever had! No wonder there was so little bang for the buck!
This is an idea to help keep my own group mindful of hobbyist input and their right to know things....
We want all the funds collected by the club in one place and tendered once to the organization HQ near Wash. DC in Virginia.
We will call it the "Eco-Ez Net and Gear Fund" as nets as well as lead lines, floats, twine, handles, stainless steel net frames, decompression buckets and some diver trainer gear can all come from it.
I will put you in touch w/ the director of the organization when you guys are ready.
Thanks again.
