will be using a cal reactor once i get a regulato rthough, really havent had to dose much since switching to oceanic salt though and usually drip a gallon ok kalk once a month

A big beast of a Ca reactor running coral branch media. with any long term (creeping) imbalancies cured with pure chemicals.

Ca reactor and kalk reactor the size of my tank dictates it would not be cost effective to dose 2 part.
I do suggest you 2 part till u reach your target alk, Mg and Ca
than reactor takes over
my reactor is kind of cranked to keep up the kalk helps keep Ph stable
