ok thanx fry ............ I live home still i pay my parents 100 a month for electric I dont see a bill you know what I mean ill look for one anyways but its a sore topic in this house when you bring up ELECTRIC BILL lol

i alreadty did lol but i cant find the rates for me also night time rates and such stuff on my parents bill it says .1997 then under it is .1954 u know what I mean my system now on the calculator on my friends site says my tank is 170 a month and with my upgraddes it will be 85 a month thats at .1997 but i also plan on having the tank run at night only which is another reason why im trying to find out when night actually starts for the electric company.

you can hook a meter up to the outlet your tank plugs into- I've seen them sold on some aquaria sites. they can measure the exact amount of wattage that your tank is using.

I have been investigating third party electricity suppliers. If you choose someone other than Con-Ed the price drops about 10-15%, but the "delivery" charges stay the same.

I will post my findings...
