Question about your RODI unit.

Hey.. I want to know if its just my rodi unit that have a drain tube or all brand have one. I brought it from ebay, the one that say 100 gpd rodi unit.

All RO/DI units have a drainage tube, it can also sometimes be called the brine tube.

oh, I thought only the cheap one have it. It is a waste of water IMO. Can't they just restrict the pressure another way? Is that what its use for?

It's the waste water coming off of the RO membrane. There is a pump that makes the RO more efficient, but still you are going to have waste water.

Use the water for something else. There is an old thread about it here,

, with some pretty good ideas for using that water. I put it in my fresh water tank.
