WOW that seaclone looks like it's skimmer better than a Deltec I've never seen one work so well! You must have some serious crud in your tank ![]() Peirce, update on the H+S? How does it compare to the BK, DAS, Deltec, and beckett? |

Well, since we Nano guys are ppl too, we also have skimming issues. ![]() Here's my new skimmer. Sapphire Aquatics NC12 Pros: fits in one of the chambers of the Nanocube and Aquapods works nicely for a nanocube Plug and play Well made, simple but nice design Cons It is kind of loud if you are using the Aquapod this model is not going to fit with the hood on

nano should have skimmers with the same water volume as tank.

well guys, finally went with a big skimmer. Here are some pics in action. The skimmer has been running for 24 hours and it has produced roughly 4 times the amount of skimmate that my aqua c urchin pro produced in a day. Initial skimmate is a bit wet, but we'll see what happens after a few days. Skimmate shown is from my tank which hasnt been fed for 1.5 days. Uses a thread wheel technology Pros - lots of small bubbles, size 23" height, price around $650 to $700, low wattage pumps, quiet, leight weight cons - So far, the only con is it is letting micro bubbles back into the sump via the return. Need to find a way to remedy that. Any suggestions? Last edited by GQ22; 11-13-2006 at 11:10 PM. Reason: Change title |
