I have asked Madison about the the single pipe vs. dual pipe thing and he didn't think I would need to use both pipe for the 200 gph or so I am flowing thru, Moonpod says the same for his 400ext. I am now using both pipe since I moved the BK to a different tank and I still don't see a difference in its performance from the way I had it before. Why are you here anyway?

but i didn't know i was not allowed to post here, your picture shows that your BK 300 can't reach his full potential because it is not adjusted right, i would think you where happy to hear that your BK can do better then that, i guess i was wrong Last edited by Heinz; 04-18-2006 at 01:22 AM.

Cali Reef, thanks for the honest update. I value honest updates a lot. Unfortunately, a lot of the time people spend ungodly amounts of money on a piece of equipment and then they feel they need to hype it up just to make themselves feel like it was a worthwhile investment. I am surprised you don't like the wedge pipes on your BK. That is my favorite adjustment point on mine. I find that it offers a very precise adjustment to the water level in the skimmer. I didn't like the gate valves on the MRC's that I used as they got "sticky" after a while due to calcification, which made the adjusments become coarse. But those MRC skimmers are kind of sucky anyways so I'm guessing that Barr puts a higher quality gate valve on his. BTW, I'm glad I made it over to this forum. You guys have a great and knowledgable group of people over here. ![]() |
