scotty~ sorry to hear about the bad luck you had with them. i have yet to lose a coral from fishtown, knock on wood, and the yumas look very happy today. the guy also threw in some floating freebies and i looked it up on dr. foster and smith and found out that it is a non photosynthic softie so this might be a problem. never had a non photosynthic coral before and there is no mouth that i can see sooooooooo long story short, i may lose this one from them lol.

oh and spykes~ catching the fish with cyanide is bad, and when you buy those fish it helps keep the demand for them up, they will just keep doing it and depleting and ruining the natural reefs. you should always try to get aquacultured stuff when you can. i can't say if my fish are or not, but if you know they are caught with cyanide then you should not buy them

I went to Fishtown yesterday, and after a long drive I was very dissapointed with what I found there. Was it just a bad day? You guys seem to like the place and a Doc I work with recommended it but I seen bigger, healtier pieces in world class for similar prices?

drzl~ why do i have to be the megaphone? lol, i try not to go there too often, but when i saw that i had to let people know. i have never seen a yuma in person till that time.

mandarin~ you should call and find out when their coral shipment will be coming in. and then call that day to make sure it got there, which usually happens around 4 pm. sometimes it gets delayed so thats why i say to be sure and call. their stuff goes really fast, also they add a 20% discount after checkout, so make sure to check that they are doing it, i had one guy forget to do it

Okay, then, there's something wrong with the Yuma itself.......hmmm...anyone else have the same problem?

Any yuma reefer can give us some tips on what's wrong? What do they need and where is the best place to place yuma and etc......? You don't need to target feed yuma right? Thanks

samsky mine had one death but wanna know why? the polyps were glued on! they were attacking each other! so i had to spearate each peice now 2 inch span each. BTW word of advice on fishtown corals, they use flourscent so their shocked when you use metal haildes.

yeah i have never had a problem with any corals i had purchased from them before. i don't have halides either. i looked at the rock, and the ones that did melt left a small nub so maybe they will regrow there. i try to target feed my rics, both these, and the florida kind and none of them accept food from me, go figure lol.
