I remember in the older days, chinese people are into keep the red and golden arowana when they could be purchased legally in the states. People paid thousands of dollars for a 4" blood red arowana. Now, you might still be able to get them throught the black market but definitely not cheap. One of the LFS owner told me his brother had a pair of the good size blood red which he had for many years. Someone offered him $100K or something crazy like that and he still does not want to sell him the fish. I wish I invested in these fish rather than the stock market years ago.

yeah looks like a cross between a northern pike and a long-nosed hawkfish. purdy, but 4k would make me happier if it were in ice not water.

i kinda like the fish hes ok.i dont know about the 4k for it but whatever ..i saw the link deanos put up on the fish info and its from cook island microneasia (okok i spelled it wrong) thats like in the middle of nowhere so in that case are the fish in that area all this expensive? anyway sorry drunkfish i though that you bought it, i would like to see this guy in person can u tell me where this store is i think i might have missed it.can we start a thread with pics of other ultra expensive fish i think it would be cool
