You bad boy-spoiled them too much. I would have trained them to eat pellets. Mine's 16" still would not touch any live fish.

BTW, I hate flowerhorn for their price, aggressiveness, their "way too hardy"(I have seen one 12" flowerhorn in a 15G tank for 3 three years and the owner always put 50% water directly from the tap after approximating the temperature with hot/cold water.)

These fish do eat birds in the Amazon. There is three fish. Two red (Beautiful healthy fish) and one black (nasty looking bastage with red eyes).
