i got it for free when i bought my mom a new comp, but havent installed it yet, heard bad thing's about compatibility with gaming so i havent put it in yet

No way, absolutely not, 100% out of the question until they release a service pack for it do not upgrade. Let all the errors and conflicts come in from the big businesses using it first.

It is better to be a settler than a pioneer, the pioneers were scalped!

i read that too. i would only install vista as a test os, on another drive or partition. bear in mind though, its reqirements r 15 gigs(50% use) ntfs 512 ram min.

as previously stated wait it out until they work out there bugs... there are a few problems with the initial OS that they are still fixing... imma wait it out.. ive been beta testing it for a while i think its a cool OS just needs its kinks worked out...
