Taxes

I know we have a few accountants/ tax people here.

I'm a full-time student working, need to file my taxes.

I know its fairly simple but no idea where to start. Any advice would be appreciated. I'll pay you to do my taxes if it's not too expensive. I just hate paperwork.

Well, two things.

Turbotax is very easy to use, and I think there is a special deal to get it free right now or something.

Also, if you are a student and you didn't make more than around 8k in the past year you can get away with only filing like one form.

Josh is right.

Taxes for students are easy to do as long as you dont have any dependents, assests, intrest income etc. But its always best to check with a professional.

Here are the tax forms for federal and NYC. Easy to file. All you need is to report your income and withholding tax. Then check the box to determine whether your parents are still claiming you as dependent.
