Unfortunately, there are these kinds of a$$@#*&s everywhere. I'm caucasian (Scots Irish and German with a bit of Swede) and even I've experienced racism. I work for a non-profit human rights agency that is Jewish. Last year someone very close to the head of the organization told me in a meeting in front of several colleagues that I was not qualified to do my job because I wasn't Jewish (even though I was rresponsible for raising over half a million dollars for them in 2006). All but one other person in the room was Jewish and not one of them called her on it. I filed a formal complaint and the agency did nothing. I stayed because I need the job and most people there aren't like that, but that doesn't mean I'm not still POed. This is a very big, well known and well respected agency. If it ever got out to the press and public what happened they'd be in for some serious, serious pain.
