Thanks for the support all. As Alex can attest, this came as a big surprise to us as we just conversing about our enthusiasm for the hobby in front of one of the member's car until we were rudely interrupted. To be honest, I admit i've been guilty of visiting the store at least once each week or every other week. I met and have known several of the disgruntled employees there over the years, some whom have left and few who have remained. I was always told how horrible the owners were but now, it's obvious that I would never step foot into that store nor make another purchase from them again. If I can get the truth out to every current, new member and non-members to boycott Fishtown, that would be my ultimate revenge.

Alex and nycpassat, I am extremely sorry to hear of your experiences. I know exactly the attitude that the woman Kathy emits everytime a customer walks into Fishtown. It is unbelievable to even read that she had the nerve to shout out racist slurs at you two. It is evident how much the business has suffered ever since she was introduced to the business. If she is that dumb enough to blame Asians for FT suffering, especially and ironically while they are located in Northern Blvd, Flushing, then it might be an easier solution to just disregard her comments and her sheer existence, since it should not hold any significance in any recognized society. If signs of all the old time employees leaving the store, poor quality and mistreatment of livestock are not enough signs to stop shopping there then this definitely is the final indication that Fish Town should no longer be a store worth visiting. I will not be supporting a store that will make me feel discriminated against. I will be supporting the boycott of Fishtown and suggest looking into getting the media involved in this matter. It is just not right for any individual to treat another human being the way you guys described it. It's about time the owners of Fish Town saw more direct consequences due to Kathy's actions. For crying out loud, she bags up fish at a pet store, what even gave her the temerity to speak that way in the first place? I call for a public apology from the store itself to Alex, nycspassat, and the rest of the MR community for their behaviors, especially if nothing is done which will further prove that they support Kathy's racist point of views.
