No hitter and losing

LA Angels vs. LA Dodgers game, yesterday 6/28

Angels pitchers combined for a no hitter.

Angels pitcher Jared Weaver went to field a ground ball and bungled the play. Dodgers batter, Matt Kemp, reached safe on an error.

Kemp stole second, then went to third when the Angels catcher, Jeff Mathis threw the ball away trying to catch him stealing.

A sac fly scored the only run for the Dodgers.

Best part is, the Dodgers pitchers combined for a shutout of the Angels. So the Dodgers won, 1-0.

Yeah too bad for weaver. but it wasn't an official no hitter since they didn't play the last half of the ninth.

I feel bad for weaver, pitching a game like that and still come out with a L. He pitched an amazing game, sucks his team couldn't give him run support.

I remember Scott Sanderson pitched a no-hitter for the Yankees in '91 or '92 and the Yanks lost 4 - 0. I think they made three or four errors and Sanderson walked a boatload of batters.
