| Cheapest place for fish that I know of. You need to know what you're buying because much of the bulk livestock they recieve are in questionable health. |

| Based on fish prices alone, Fishtown gets a 10. When you factor in drygoods and equipment, my rating drops to 8. But who shops for equipment at an LFS anymore? ![]() Selection of fish is very widespread, with something for 200+ gallons FO tanks and 2.5g nanos. However, you do need a very sharp eye to select healthy fish among the myriad of sick, dying and dead fish, which populate alot of the tanks/cubes. Invert selection is usually excellent. Most common marine snails, hermits and shrimp are present. More times than not, you can find many varieties of nudibranches, cucumbers, pistol shrimp and starfish not found in most LFS. Coral selection is made up of mostly softies, mushrooms, zoanthids and LPS. Colonies of SPS seem reasonable priced, but don't expect to see many frags. Waiting to be helped by one of the employees can get frustating, often requiring you to wait by the cashiers' counter, to "snag" a clerk as soon as he finishes with a customer. | ||||||||||||||||||

| LOL don't care about their prices, the color of the paint on the ceiling nor anything else, unless they open a store in Westchester I am not a customer. I have heard ups and downs and they way you talk it's like you work there and are defending the place, if that's true, be straight up about it, people will understand. |

| I live close to the store and even can go there walking. Their selection is very interesting, you could find more diversity than most of LFS around. Inverts: Good+ invert selection. They carry snails, hermits, shrimps, nudis and inverts difficult to find in another stores of the area with reasonable to good prices. Coral: Selection is good priced also but IMHO not very stocked up. Soft and LPS mostly. Usually you can't expect to see frags. Fish: For the price and selection of their livestock they are close to 10. I can't say the same regarding the health of them. There are a bunch of near-dead or dead specimens being eaten or forgotten in their tanks. Live Rock: Cheap but don't expect premium at 3.99/lb! Equipment and dry goods: They carry most of the thing that you can need in an rush. Price is fair although only a few people shop for equipment at an LFS nowadays.... but crashes tends to happen when you are not prepared and it's still an option. Customer Service: People there are very friendly but very busy. You'll get frustrated waiting or you have to pursue an employee until you catch him .It's usually a crowded store with a few of employees. The good thing is the employees are always the same people and you start to understand them and improve your skills in being patient. FWIW, Rossana | ||||||||||||||||||

| Catfish = "I own Fish Town".......maybe.......the prices were so low that for awhile they were under cost on many of the wholesale lists. They have since started to bring their prices more inline with most stores and have started getting in some not so easy to find corals. But if you want fish you have to know what ur doing. | ||||||||||||||||||

| They call that the walmart effect. Low prices to get you hooked and put other places out of biz then raise their prices to normal or above industry standard. |

| i like this place everytime i go there i always go to the same person and she is the greatest she helps with all my needs and tells me what is not good for my tanks. she is very honest with me. also the rest of the staff is helpful and you always see them taking care of the tanks. this is one fish store that does not leave their tanks unattended. never once did i go in there and see a dead fish. | ||||||||||||||||||
