cured or uncured

Just set up my 90 gal tank(its about time) but I gotta buy some live rock. I saw some rock on ebay but its uncured. Is it ok to add uncured rock to a new tank??? Also I added my old rock to one of my baffles in my sump(about 10 lbs) Is this the right thing to do??one more thing I am running my protein skimmer while i cycle should I do this?? Any info or recomendations would be greatly appreciated. Jim

Jim

It's find to buy uncured rock for a new tank. It may just take long for the tank to cycle, depending on the quailty of uncured LR.

There are a # of people on the board that sell LR so it's probably better to check it out here than on ebayl
