Probably a mantis or a pistol but just in case...do you have any damsels? Some damsels (like the domino for ex.) will make an occasional clicking sound.

Does your tank have sand? I use to have a pistol shrimp...made real loud clicking noises (i.e. sound of tank crack). If you have sand, it would bury themselves in it. I use to hold a piece of krill (via tongs) and intentionally lure it out for feeding. Maybe you can try that out. It'll pick up the scent. |
