Except for the rose tips, they sure do look like Aiptasias!

You'll probably get a lot more soon. My first three didn't split at all for a while, and then before I know it, I have over 20. I think if you feed them, they'll grow faster. Steve actually thinks subsequent stress and neglect will cause them to split. Not that I'm suggesting you stress them on purpose, but anedotally, in my experience, big ones have split shortly after they were moved to a different tank. A couple of people also told me of a split the day after they traded with me. Mike can attest to that.

I try to feed them whenever i can. It's getting big, almost the size of a quarter. I want to try to move them further apart from each other, can i just pull them from the rock or something....maybe if i do this they will split..hehahe

Pete's right, mine split in a day or two. They love to be in front of the PH. I thought I had only 6 until I was rearranging and found the others!

One complaint I have about these guys is that it is very hard to manually move them. Gary told me to put some rubble next them and they'll migrate onto it. This has never worked for me, although I've heard that it has worked well with others.

I use a power head to blow their feet slightly off the rock and very carefully use a tooth pick to remove them. You need to be forceful enough to pry them off the rock, while delicate enough not to damage or even puncture them (they will die!). This is quite hard, and I thankfully have only killed one or two out of all the times I've done this. If you only have two, I suggest that you do not experiment.

If you opt for the first method, I think they tend to migrate upwards, so place a rock in a position that they can move up.

Mike, do you have any good methods?

No. I've never had a reason to move/remove them. I was going to ask you for advice! LOL

A few times I tried to grab one, thinking I could just peel it off the rock, it shrank into the hole that its anchored into and became a little nub.
