PFO Metal Halide Hood F/S

6 foot PFO lighting black aluminum hood with 2x 4" fans, 3x400w 20k Radiums (5 months old), 2 URI VHO actinics, PFO VHO ballast, and 3x 400w PFO HQI ballasts. Plug and play!
The lighting system is used 14 months. No scratches on hood.

I am new in this stuff...

i may not need such high power light yet... will it work this way?
is this possible to put in 3x250W bulk for now... when i need the power later, i then switch them to 3x400W?

This hood comes with 400w ballasts that drive 400w bulbs. You can't use 250's with it. Sorry

It's coming along.. I had a bit of a die off with my montiporas. Apparently they don't like the heavy lights. They are making a slow com back. I have a nice collection of acros now growing.

Basically with taking down the 55 and setting up the 150, I went back to square one. I also got rid of some colonies that had gotten big. I kind of like to watch things grow.

I just got a new professional camera so I'm hoping to get some nice shots. I'll post some on here soon. Here is one I just took.

Lighting wise I'm running 3 DE 250. After years of going without a skimmer, I've decided to finaly get one. Doing water changes on the little tank was no big deal. Changing 20 to 30 gallons of water in this tank every week is breaking my back.. so I'm buying a Tunze skimmer.
