my RO/DI, so far...

okay here we go,
this is everything so far, I have a permeate pump, and a electronic auto flush valve coming on monday, I'm also getting a larger tank for the drinking water, and I'd like to get a pressure gauge, and another tds meter to monitor the drinking water side.
I need help with hooking up the electronic valves, they are confusing.

and please no jokes about the plastic drain pipe, it was a quick fix for a pipe that used to have gaffers tape wrapped around it, I never got around to replacing it.

sweet!

I just checked my TDS and it's at 4 Time for a new di, and probably a new membrane. where did you get yours? (It's probably in the thread, but scrolling back through 9 pages is a lot more work than asking!)

I use only applied membrane products,
you can order them from http://www.wateranywhere.com/Dir/~.htm

the pressure switch seems to have worked itself out. I checked the pump and it had shut off, I emptied the pressure tank, it held four gallons used to be two, and the pump turned back on, so I guess it's working.

thanks, I should have all the parts early this week.
I'll post some photos of the valves and there power leads.

I's nice to have RO always ready now, anyone one with low pressure (and I had the lowest) I'd recommend getting at least the pressure pump. it's a night and day difference.

wow, so complicated.
guess i should get a pressure valve to see if i may need a pressure booster pump or a permeate pump.

(was reading 1 TDS, changed DI cartridge, now back to 0 TDS)

How do you like the permeate pump? It also made a night and day difference to the amount of RO/DI water coming out of my system!

it's supposed to come today, though I'm probably going to miss ups.

it will be interesting to see what happens with both the permeate and booster working.

how has your combination worked shaun? you said you run the booster manually, does the permeate work well by itself?

you can also judge it by how much water you can make in an hour.
my production rate was ridiculously low, I live on the forth floor of an older building, and I have almost zero pressure.
I'd rather not have to use the pumps, but I have no choice.
shaun is also in the same boat.

JH,

I get somewhere between 45 and 55 lbs of pressure. What is your booster pump pressuring at? Do you have a pressure valve to tell what it is?

LMK

Jim

I don't have the gauge yet, I'm making about 3.5 gallons/hour

I think the pump will boost from 40-120 psi I don't know how it gets adjusted, there is nothing to adjust.
