Reefer Ratings: (20) Friends: (3) | I Got Civics In My Tank...BlueSi4's Tale of The 75RR
So about 6 months after getting my 46G Bow...i ended up upgrading to a 75G RR. It was too good of a deal to pass, so i got the tank with stand, 30G Sump and a DIY 250W MH. I will be moving all my livestock on Saturday. Tonight and tomorrow i will start filling the tank with some water, make sure everything is alright. Then saturday should be full enough to break down the 46 and move everything into their new home. Here are some pictures of the tank and stand... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And this is a section that the guy i bought the tank from cut. It's the last first part of the drain section. What should i do? ![]() Last edited by BlueSi4; 02-19-2008 at 01:30 AM. |

Alright so it's almost 3am and we just finished transferring everything from the 46 to the 75. Me, my friend Joe (who bought my 46), his brother Nick, and my friend Will started tearing down the 46 at about 8pm. We spent about 2 hours at Home Depot trying to look for adaptors in order to allow the return to be connected, ended up not finding anything so we put the sump build for another day and we just focused on getting everything out of the 46 into the 75. By midnight, we had all the rocks in the tank, aquascaping was almost done and the fish were getting anxious to make it to its new home. An hour later, the aquascaping was done and the fish were able to be moved into their new home. After the fish were in, we moved the corals. At around 2am we finished with everything, including emptying the 46 and fit it in my friend's car. Here are the pics...well some of them. Water is a bit blurry because of the sand...should clear up by tomorrow. ![]() ![]() what a mess!!! ![]() the wires and the placement of the equipment is just temporary until we get the sump to work ![]() ![]() finished aquascaping ![]() ![]() |

Thanks guys! Joe (jw10604) came this morning to help me finish the plumbing, i had some problems with the return and it was finally fixed. Wednesday i will fill up the sump and get it to work, then i will move everything in there (skimmer, heater) So far i've had no losses, but the corals haven't opened up yet since i haven't been able to hook up the light yet, hopefully that can be done tonight. |
